floors Yours {corner} by @breadeaterrr
Some people may equate their soul to an extravagant piece of jewelry that they'll wear almost boastfully, while others feel exposed submitting a blog to a public forum. I'd love to dive into the first topic but the second is of more interest to Me.
I was anxious once, a room full of people was enough for Me to turn on my heels and find a quiet space to isolate for extended periods of time. Imagine. I hadn't even interacted with anyone and I was ready to call it a day.
Fast forward a few years and I'm chuckling to Myself as I walk away from a weirdly funny conversation I've just had with the most unhinged person You'd expect to meet in the dead of the night.
I'm not sure what changed & I'd be lying if I said I know when the transformation occurred, so that's enough about Me.
I'd like to ask You, why do You feel this way?
As an artist your work is out there for everyone to see and interpret however they please.
Maybe that's it. Maybe the fact that what they're looking at is obscure and requires some form of leg work to decipher causes You less stress because You're communicating through a firewall.
But what if they want to know more? Will they not ask You "what's the big idea behind this one then?"
You've been prepared for that. Ever since the idea was formulated, You've had the answer, and then time to clarify what it actually means as You spent time creating it. So You've always been ready.
Ready to explain the extensions of Your Self that You've allowed the public to witness.
So why the anxiety because of a blog post? Is it not also an extension of Your Self, that this time requires little to no explanation at all? Would that not make You feel more at ease knowing that there's a higher likelihood of You being understood?
Or is that exactly what You would like to avoid.
